Amenities Built in 1995, our building is bright and airy. We offer spacious private and semiprivate accommodations, each room with its own bath. All resident rooms are wired for telephone service and cable TV, and Internet access is available. Our building has central air-conditioning for your comfort. We have a beauty/barber shop for your convenience, and a gift shop staffed by our residents. And if you feel like a quick snack, Hugs ’n’ Mugs has coffee and tea available, and vending machines offering cold drinks and tempting treats.
We also have two large activities rooms; large, elegantly furnished formal dining rooms; and a private dining room that can be reserved for family events.
Outside, our grounds offer you some lovely, private spaces where you can take a stroll or sit and talk while you enjoy some fresh air and nature. That includes our two fully enclosed courtyards, one with a bunny in permanent residence. We also have a smoking courtyard with a gazebo.
Activities Staying active and involved is an important part of everyone’s health and well-being. Our seven-day-a-week activities calendar will provide you with a variety of recreational activities to help keep you mentally, physically, and spiritually active—no matter what your level of mobility is.
Our schedule of activities includes gentle exercise classes, games, music, crafts, discussion groups, religious services, and more—all designed to keep you vibrant, energetic, and on the go. Our social calendar includes monthly birthday parties and our annual resident/family barbecue. And if you have a hobby you love, you can bring that along with you.
We also provide opportunities for you to stay involved in the community. If you’re able and interested, you can join your fellow residents on shopping expeditions, for lunch out, and on other local outings.
Certification/Accreditation Hillcrest Commons is certified by both Medicare and Medicaid. We’re also accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), a nationally recognized, independent organization that sets standards of excellence for nursing homes and other healthcare facilities.
In addition, we are proud to have signed the profession-wide Quality First pledge, which further reflects our commitment to quality, ethical care and resident safety.
